Elsevier that well known publisher of expensive journals publish 2907 journals, some of which are interesting enough even for an organic chemist to read. They are now offering 6 months of free access if you are a post-doc between jobs. The conditions are very strict indeed and you may wait up to 45 days for an answer; 1.5 months without access to your favourite journal!
Well Elsevier, what about chemists or other scientists between jobs? What can be done for them? And if the AZ/Pfizer deal happens there will be a lot more wishing they could keep up with the literature. While this is a reasonable idea it is a bit discriminatory.
